Earth Resources
Were over exploiting available resources so i can't imagine how we could begin to describe what the human race is doing! We have already chopped down most of the forests that used to cover most of the land mass, including Europe we have burnt a large proportion of the coal and which trapped vast quantities of CO2 millions of years ago, and we are rapidly using up most of the metals and minerals which make human life possible.
It won't take an asteroid to cause a human catastrophe, just a few difficulties with the global supply chains and population reaching an even less sustainable point in the near future.
It's good that I don't have children and grandchildren on whom this dreadful future world will be inflicted. I weep for the wildlife that will disappear.
